The candidate who seems to have been running forever and the one who has yet to enter the race are leading their respective nomination contests in a national preference poll by Zogby International.
Michelle Malkin points to a Zogby poll in her post here that shows Guiliani and Thompson are vying for the GOP lead.
Obviously, if a candidate, like Thompson, who hasn’t even announced, can be doing so well in polling, there is a problem with the others being able to keep in touch with the Conservative base of the party. We are still waiting on Fred Thompson to announce.
