McCain, holding on until the bitter end

I’ve been wondering when John McCain might call it quits in his presidential bid with all the layoffs, resignations, etc. in his campaign camp.  Well, it looks like John may be trying to lay out his timeline for us here in the National Journal.

When asked if he could foresee circumstances in which he would drop his bid for the White House, McCain quipped, “Contracting a fatal disease.” McCain was speaking to reporters following an address to the Concord Chamber of Commerce in New Hampshire.

McCain added, “I was [just] in Iraq. You never know.”
